She has a Vampire father and human mother, both in hiding from the Night World, but she can't bring herself to turn them in, no matter how much she wants to or how evil she is. She keeps this secret to herself, even when she became a full vampire with the touch of a "full vampire's" blood to her lips, awaking the sleeping blood inside her.

Fact File: Lacey, wasn't meant to become a full vampire until later in life, but at 17, she became one at the hand of Emeric. She had kissed his wound better like her mother had done when she was little, tasting the blood before the wound closed, the blood in her began to stir and the changes of her began.
Emeric doesn't know Lacey's secret, but he knows she's hidding something from him, but is determind to find out what it is. He knows he shouldn't be in love with a lower rank vampire, but being an elder he can bend the rules slightly to be with his soulmate forever.
Lacey attends the Circle Midnight meetings, discussing how to break Circle Daybreak, but no matter how bad she can be, she secretly wants to join Circle Twighlight, but is scared that will force her secret out of her and mean death for both her and her family.
